Richard Rankin

Richard joined Eachwin in early 2016 to serve as its Chief Marketing Officer.

Prior to joining Eachwin, Richard was a Managing Director at Ardsley Partners, one of the oldest hedge funds in the US. He founded Atheneum Capital LLC, an investment company and advisory boutique in 2005. From 1998 to 2005, Richard was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in the Institutional Equity Division (IED) and in Firm Management. During his first four years there, he built and led the firm’s Canadian equity research, sales and trading businesses. Richard previously was Vice President at the Union Bank of Switzerland and a Credit Analyst at the Federal Business Development Bank, a division of the Bank of Canada.

Richard completed his BA degree in Economics and Political Science at the University of Western Ontario in 1979 and his Certificate of Accounting at the University of Calgary in 1987. He is past president of the Rowayton Civic Association. Richard has been an Advisory Director of the Family Office Association and Defentect, Inc. (a security software company); and a member of the Financial Executives Alliance.

Richard joined Fiera Capital in February 2017.

Christopher Shakal

Chris joined Eachwin in late 2016 as Interim Chief Financial Officer / Chief Compliance Officer to help wind the firm down. In March 2017 he joined TPRV Capital. Chris has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with concentrations in new hedge fund launches, accounting, operations, risk, compliance and auditing. Prior to joining Eachwin, Christopher was CFO/CCO of Chimney Rock Investments, a start-up hedge fund focused on credit investments, where his responsibilities focused on building and managing all non-investment functions. Prior to this, he was the Director of Finance at Allen & Co. where his primary duties included oversight of the firm’s merger arbitrage fund accounting, financial reporting and finance functions. Previously, Christopher served as the CFO at O-CAP Management and as the Controller at Serengeti Asset Management. At both hedge funds Christopher was the most senior finance professional and developed their accounting and operations processes.

Earlier in his career Christopher spent several years in the product control group at Deutsche Bank where he managed the non-investment functions of the interest rate derivatives, fixed income prime brokerage and the U.S. energy trading desks. He spent several years at KPMG as an auditor.
Christopher received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Pace University in 1994 with a concentration in Public Accounting. He is a New York State Certified Public Accountant.
