Doug Cohen, an original Partner, was responsible for portfolio construction and risk management functions at Eachwin, as well as oversight for the industrial, consumer, materials, energy and utilities sectors. He joined Athena Capital Advisors in April 2017.
Prior to joining Eachwin, Doug Cohen was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. He led the Strategic Equity Portfolio (STEP) program, which provided the intellectual underpinning and stock selection for a group of portfolios with over $12 billion in assets targeted to high net worth investors and family offices.
Doug joined Morgan Stanley & Co. in 1994 as an equity analyst in the global electricity sector and later became a specialist in metals and mining. He led the STEP program from 2002 through 2011. Doug served on Morgan Stanley’s Equity Research Stock Selection Committee and its New Products Committee, and was Chairman of the Asset Classification Committee. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Doug was a Vice President at Kaiser Associates, a strategy consulting firm. He serves on the Board of the Jewish Opportunities Institute.
Doug graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with concentrations in Finance and Management in 1989 and from Harvard Business School with an M.B.A. in 1993.
